Linen
Tighter weave, less stretch, holds paint cleanly. The finished canvas frames beautifully.
Cotton
Cheaper, slightly absorbent, sometimes warps. Fine for practice kits.
Paper-Backed Canvas
Avoid. It's basically a poster.
